FUNdamental Swimming is a Swim School with two venues in Cape Town, as well as an Online Education Platform. Our Swim Schools based in Claremont and Oranjezicht aim to encourage swimmers of every level and every background to learn, participate and remain in the sport of swimming for as long as possible.
About Us
FUNdamental Swimming is an online learning platform and a swim school with two indoor venues in Cape Town. Our aim is to encourage children and adults of every level and background to learn and enjoy swimming in a way that is appealing, effective and FUN. It is our hope that as many swimmers as possible will remain in the sport for as long as possible. Our online learning platform aims to inspire and equip parents, swimming teachers and coaches with resources and skills needed to teach swimming successfully.
What we offer
For younger children still learning the strokes we offer Stroke Development/Technical Swimming where we focus on one stroke per week. We present the lessons as a fun and engaging mini workshops that are either 30 or 45 minutes long. These sessions are suitable for swimmers from Grade 00/Grade R through to Grade 7/early high school.
Fitness sessions are suitable for adults or stronger primary - high school children. Fitness sessions are 60 minutes with a focus on building speed, skills and swimming stamina.
Private sessions are also available upon request and can be a good way to ease into our programmes or gain confidence in a certain area.
Venues
FUNdamental Swimming is proud to offer two indoor, heated 25m pool venues in Cape Town. Both venues have qualified, experienced and passionate swimming teachers, coaches and assistants to suit the needs of swimmers of all levels.
