Technical Programme
Our Termly Programme is around 10-11 weeks (depending on the length of the school term). At the Quadrant venue we follow the government school calendar (since we cater for swimmers from dozens of different schools) and at St Cyprian’s we follow (roughly) the St Cyprian’s school calendar (with some adaptations here and there).
We focus on one stroke per week with the first half of the term focussing on stroke development and the second half of the term we focus on developing speed. The first week is usually an introduction and a reminder of concepts. At the end of term we recap again, and make time for FUN. We also invite parents to watch during Showcase week.If we have any extra time we focus on a certain aspect of the crawl stroke, since this stroke usually needs more time and emphasis.
Fitness Programme
Our Fitness Programme does not follow a structured timetable. Instead, each of our coaches (2 at the Quadrant and 3 at St Cyprian’s) bring their own inspiration and ideas to the sessions. We definitely encourage you to speak to your coach directly about creating a plan for your specific goals and needs. We are very willing to adapt and support you as you require.
